Commonwealth of Virginia lying in Southern Atlantic Region of United States, is bordered by Maryland and DC Washington to north east, by North Carolina and Tennessee to south and by Kentucky to west . Atlantic Ocean is at its east side.



Many of Virginia Rivers including Potomac flow into Chesapeake Bay. The boundary with Maryland and DC Washington extends to the low-water mark of south shore of Potomac River.



From east to west Virginia was divided into five regions plus 95 counties and 39 independent cities with Richmond City as capital.



Virginia practices an unique county-equivalent system where counties and cities are treated equally. State Government manages roads and prohibits its governors from servicing consecutive terms.



Virginia is nicknamed as "Old Dominion" and also "mother of presidents" as there are 8 presidents of United States born here.



North Virginia is among the highest income region and has the most counties in the top100 wealthiest in the country.



The current unemployment rate in Virginia is only 6.2 % which is among the lowest in the nation.



Virginia's economy has diverse sources of income, including local and Federal Government, like military, farming and business.



Virginia has a population of 8 millions in which about 4 million are civilian works and 1/3 of the jobs are in the servicing sectors.



Climate of Virginia is shaped by Blue Mountain Ranges and Chesapeake Bay, that provide natural habitat for much of its flora and fauna.

The National Aviation and Space Exploration Wall of Honor situated along the entryway to the museum, is a permanent memorial to the thousand of people who have contributed to the aviation and space exploration heritage. Names of honorees are inscribed on the air-foil-shaped wall.



The official name of Dulles Air and Space Museum is Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, named after its major donor. The building opened in December 2003 providing enough space for Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum to display thousands of aviation and space artifacts that cannot be exhibited on the national mall.



The two sites: Steven F.Udar-Hazy Center together with Smithsonian National Air Museum showcase the largest collection of aviation and space artifacts in the world.



The center features the large Boeing Aviation Hangars in which aircraft are displayed on 3 levels. Wide ranges of World War ll fighter aircraft and strategic bomber of the Allied and Axis countries.
