Cherry Blossoms The Tidal Basin - DC Washington

Tidal Basin, an artificial inlet of Potomac River created in 19th century is surrounded by Jefferson Memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial and many other tourists attractions. It covers an area of 107 acres and with water depth of 10 feet and fully lined up with Japanese cherry trees. This man-made lake offers spectacular sights of beauty during early spring when cherry trees are flowering.

This is my second time to participate into the event of Cherry blossom in the capital city of The States. I enjoyed as much as I did 5 years ago when I first encountered this seasonal beauty in 2009. If you strolled further down to my blog posted in 2009, you may find that there is a slight changes in the atmosphere as weather has become warmer and trees have grown older this year. The scenery may not appear exactly as before but the cherry flowers blossom the same gorgeous way !
