The crystal clear Mirror Lake .

The fallen leaves inside the lakes glittering like gold coins under sun.

A bright looking Mirror Lake.

Mind wont go wild in this piece of peaceful water land.

Father and son enjoyed a serene and warm moment at Mirror Lake

All buildings in regardless of apartments or villas or single houses are constructed against the shore of the lake. Almost all residents are living in the breeze of the lake.

There is only a street of shops in Lake Place Town but they supply one of the best tasty dark chocolate and home-made natural fruit salad sauce.

Most restaurants are able to serve you delicious typical western food of different kinds in European traditions.

The street is clean, neat and beautifully organized.

These unique decorated shop windows along the down town street are so innovative and attractive.

Inspiration from local fauna !

The ice hockey stadium in Olympic center of Lake Placid still playing its role at this little town.

The site of 26 storey high 120 meter Olympic ski jumping complex today acts as site for all international ski jumping and aerial freestyle skiing competitions.

The Saranac Lake

No more anger, no more desires at this quiet, rustic and secluded lakeside of Saranac.

Saranac Lake is like most of the lakes in Adirondack Region, crystal clear and clean like a large mirror on earth.

People here live in nature and breath with nature.

This is the actual Lake Placid! The town in fact was named after this huge area of serene natural pond, lying under mountains and forest with wide range of flora and fauna.

The elegant resort apartments at Lake Placid nested inside a beautiful environment with individual name of owner engraved on the main wooden door of each unit.

The cozy living quarters and surrounded garden in Lake Placid Resort.

We finally understand why the chef of Chair 6 Restaurant and the German owner of Schulte's Family Lodge decided to leave their country and settled down here. This place is definitely given by nature God to those meritorious people who have gathered good karma in their past life. Should I be gifted with such opportunity, I would undoubtedly make the same decision as them.

Maple syrup farm house and a custom-made luxurious small cottage home with glimpse of resident sawing fire wood for winter as traditionally practiced. Maple syrup farm we wanted to visit was closed when we arrived but its own produced syrup and related farm made products were displayed and stocked at this little house. There was no one there. Visitors and customers were requested to pick, to buy, to pack and to pay in cash or card, or if necessary made own changes with money in the counter, all by yourself. There was an inventory book for you to record down your name and the purchased items. Shangrila comes in reality here. This is the lost world we missed and we need.

In some places at Lake Placid, leaves have started falling and carpeted the ground into fire red.

While in some hillside, they are at their brightest foliage at this moment.

A breathtaking scenic golden drive way when entering the heart of mountain ranges towards Lake Placid.

The place we stayed is nested in a thick pine woods, at the foot of a hill.

The owners are professional photographer and artist. Husband and wife fell in love with the place on a holiday trip and finally whole family moved in and settled down here since years ago.

The two entire different look of cabins at Schulte's Family Lodge. It happens only within one fortnight when the red roof turned into white. Its incredible to witness such changes the next morning we woke up.

Internal and external materials of all buildings at the lodge are mainly wood and they are very artistically designed. They made our stay cozy and romantic.

The office as well as a home to the owner of Schulte's family lodge. Customers were welcomed to share a cup of coffee or a piece of own-made cake with them in the morning at their basement.

On our second day stay, there was no more green ground or trees. Furious winter weather dropped in so early. The cute little street lamp also had changed into silver color at our lodging site.

Cottages and cabins surrounded by pine and other coniferous trees, providing us the most unpolluted atmosphere and air during our stay at Schutle's Lodge.

The cozy living place is decorated with traditional fire place and huge clear window allowing the nature scenery to act as a live art drawing on wall.

The German owner of Schutle's Lodge said that we were very lucky as coming in autumn season and had the chance to see and experience the first shower of snow at this beautiful town. It was indeed much beautiful compared to other snow site we had been in other part of the world. The snow was very soft, fine and translucent white.

Vehicle was fully wrapped in layer of over-night snow when we were in bed inside our warm cozy room.

The double storey little cottage was the home of our three days in Lake Placid. At the back of it is an area of forest and in front, a medium sized swimming pool, the only blue spot at the territory.

Pine trees around the place outside our room were dressed up into white the next day we opened our eyes.

Season changed so fast and unexpectedly. It might be a severe winter this year!

We came in autumn season under golden and yellow screen but when we left three days later, the world turned into silver white base.

To witness and experiencing two severe seasons in one journey in just 2-3 days was an unexpected harvest in our New England trip.

Winter scene in fall!

Chair 6 is the restaurant we had our breakfast everyday. The young chef of the restaurant left his 10 years art career in Germany and moved into this lovely town, cooking and providing healthy and delicious meals to people like us. We enjoyed his food and he enjoyed his life here, never never regret......

Chair 6 Restaurant serves one of the best western breakfast and lunch in Lake Placid.

Chair 6 Restaurant attracts customers with its wonderful dishes and decorated his restaurant with all kinds of tools for winter sports and games.

City of Lake Placid entered into winter time early in month of mid -October.

These wonderful scene were beyond description!

Green mountains, grey stones formation and mixture of plants and trees echoing and responding to each other under the shade of silver snow along the driveway .

It was as if like a huge painting hanging down from sky and we were in the drawing like in a dreamland.

We witnessed the miracle of nature.

This was a wilderness area where animals like whitetail deer, red fox, beaver , moose, or black bear make their home.

Blue mountain lake after a heavy snow shower.

Instead of watching the colorful foliage at this site, we observed another kind of beauty in silver white.

Trees at ranges were receiving the first snow fall of the year, while water remains as it is, stilling running through the mountains and lakes.

An eye-catching scenery along the entire driveway .

Gorgeous ! The blue mountain in silver.

Stone formation and snow flakes.

We are leaving Lake Placid proceeding towards Vermont.

It was still snowing along the way!

Snow-capped pine forest is by both sides of the highway towards east direction.

A gloomy winter weather.

Ending our white journey in New York State towards Vermont State.

The color finally returns to its normal fall foliage.

A Good-bye to Lake Placid
